Providing maggots a new home

Serving the needing a brimming cup
Even the biggest tree must fall
End of one, end of all
Burned to ashes swept by the sea
Drenched by rain, dried by light beams
Nothing lasts
The way of all flesh
Life's just a breath
Metal corrodes claimed by rust
Overgrown taken by dust
Swallowed by swamps, flushed by the sea
Away, away we all must be
Forest forlorn empty and silent
Critters crawling crows flying
Life's a journey death not eternal
Shape of existence repeating circle
Shadows aren't monsters
But a welcome blanket
